Protea Collection
The Protea, also lovingly known as a 'sugarbush', is native to South Africa and belongs to the same family of plants as Australias native Banksias, Grevilleas and Waratahs. I designed the Protea repeat watercolor pattern with love for Australian Nature. Painted in Watercolor and sometimes using a white oil pastel, which repels the water to activate texture. The blues in Protea move from a Phthalo Blue to an Ultramarine Blue. When printed, the detail in these colours are bold and vibrant - staying true to their existence in nature.
Crystals Poppies Collection
Painted in watercolor from an original poppy, this design is repeated and printed as a vibrant salute to our Anzac's and the strength of the legend of Anzac Day for Australians.
Crystals Poppy is a blend of rich quinacridone tones, bleeding to a touch of purple. The stem is a rich olive green, painted in watercolor. Both the quinacridone and green have fused beautifully in a way only watercolor can. When printed this pattern has picked up the authentic bright and vibrant colours displaying them perfectedly.
