Tamlyn Geiger
Australian Creative Textile Artist and Designer
Tamlyn Geiger is a textile artist and surface pattern designer and is inspired by her Queensland country town of Canungra, nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Surrounded by Australian native plants, ancient trees, rolling hills and grassy open planes. Tamlyn creates unique pieces drawn from her slow living, natural environment. This has pulled her into a passion of supporting Australian products wherever possible.
Adding to her senses, the scenery of nature comes alive through days of crisp mornings, warm winds, and at times what seems to be buckets of rainfall on surrounding tin roofs. Tamlyn continuously learns and experiments with various mediums in her studio.
Having a strong Graphic and Fine Art background makes for beautiful Surface Designs Patterns and large artworks. It is clear Tamlyn’s work reflects the peacefulness of her surroundings. Often giving space to travel, she showcases her work in art galleries and regularly teaches students the many expressions of artistic craftsmanship. This deepens her source of inspiration for her to continue creating - filling her days as a full time artist.

“Sometimes, the hardest thing about painting is getting started! Tamlyn has the knack of freeing people up by introducing concepts around designing an artwork. Delivered with a teaching style emphasising creative techniques, but making sure the process is fun is Tamlyn's forte. I definitely recommend Tamlyn to artists of all levels.”
