Nestled in the picturesque Lamington National Park, near her hometown of Canungra, Tamlyn Geiger, a talented local artist and designer, is gearing up for her sixth year at the eagerly anticipated Annual Bird Week hosted at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat. The event promises to be a delightful convergence of art, nature, and creative exploration, where Tamlyn's expertise will be showcased as a resident artist and art teacher.

Tamlyn is a well-known figure in the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim art communities. With her vast expertise, she has offered workshops at the Station Masters house in Beaudesert in 2023 and at International Bird Week at O’Reilly’s from 2018 to 2022. The 2023 workshop was hosted by the Beaudesert and District Community Arts Projects (BADCAP) at The Stationmaster House on 100 Brisbane Street. BADCAP have over a decade of fostering creative pursuits through Arts in the Olives-where Tamlyn was previously a teacher, the sculpture symposia, and more, was thrilled to collaborate with Tamlyn to inspire more people to embrace art.

Tamlyn has been developing work related to our natural world and its entanglements. This is reflected in her residency in the 'Shaper studio' - Tasmania. Time in the 'white room' as it was called, encouraged her to emerge herself among the serenity and slow movement in time.
